Kyogle

The Fleurieu furniture range took me to Kyogle last week. This is where the furniture is laminated.The photo shows the mould of the Fleurieu wine rack in one of the presses.It was a great day seeing this specialised work in action and discussing the possibilities for other designs. Jack has been working in the industry since he arrived post war from Holland. I’m glad that I find the time to visit people like Jack. His manufacturing capabilities has inspired some new ideas and with so much manufacturing being sent overseas this type of relationship, between Australian timbers, manufacturers and designers isn’t happening enough.
